Rubondo Island is the many islands and islets located in the Lake Victoria. Rubondo provides a good environment for fish breeding grounds.Famous types of fishesare tilapia and the Nile perch which are commercially fished and being exported to European Markets.Activities available are fishing,boat cruising, beach activities.
But Rubondo is more than a water wonderland.Swamps with lots of Papyrus swamps host lots of aquatic creatures like antelope,bushbuck and so many others,Rubondo is also has huge forest land which harbours wild animals like hippo, mongoose,genet, giraffe, elephants and primates like chimpanzee and monkeys.
